Discover Jazz Festival
The Discover Jazz Festival broadens awareness and appreciation of jazz through quality live performances of national and regional scope; presents educational activities that illuminate the art form for students of all ages and backgrounds; showcases Vermont and regional jazz artists, including students; and creates a vital city-wide community festival that contributes to the national jazz dialogue. Big Joe Burrell was a cornerstone to this effort for more than 20 years.

Burlington City Arts (BCA) has served the community as a department of the City of Burlington and as an independent not-for-profit organization for 25 years. Our vision is to fuse a dynamic relationship between the arts and community, to nurture creativity and imagination, and to ignite a passion for learning through the arts. Burlington City Arts facilitates the commissioning of public art for the City of Burlington

Elliot Gantz & Co., Inc., Fine Art Bronze Sculpture Casting Foundry
This foundry site shows the detailed process that the Big Joe sculpture will go through at a factory to become the final bronze art form. We're told that the factory will need the statue for approximately six months to produce the final bronze statue.
